Mikaila. This little girl is magic. The first time I saw her was on the TV show Shark Tank. For those of you who don’t know what Shark Tank is, it's a show where people pitch their business ideas to five different “sharks”, who then decide whether they will invest money into your business.
This 11 year old girl was pitching her Me & The Bees Lemonade, a business she started from making and selling her great granny’s lemonade, flaxseed recipe. What is even more special than an 11 year old girl selling lemonade, is her involvement to save the bees. Bees are an essential part of the ecosystem - without them, the lack of fruit and vegetable options would be terrifying. Mikaila's lemonade is now sold in 55 Whole Food stores! She donates part of her profits to organizations that help save the bees. A man once said to me, “I don’t see how I can really make a difference.” This an inspirational example of how it takes just one person, YOU, to be the change, make the difference in your own and other people’s lives. I am so proud of this young soul, who is formulating an incredible path for her life while contributing to saving nature. At this rate, I can only imagine what amazing things she will be doing in the future.
